A couple of weeks ago we headed to Iowa City for an Club Leaders workshop for the U of Iowa Alumni Association. One benefit of attending the workshop is 2 free tickets to the game. We decided to take advantage of that & buy one extra ticket in order to take Ellie to her first Hawkeye game! She was so excited! She never wasted an opportunity to tell Emily that she is too little to go to a Hawkeye game.
We went ahead of time to do a little tailgating -- which was probably Ellie's least favorite part -- she didn't understand why we'd do so much walking and then just stand around. I guess tailgating isn't as much fun at 4 years old as it is at 34 years old! :)
We did happen to be right in front of Kinnick when the team arrived, so Ellie got to see Coach Ferentz and the entire team get off the bus and enter the stadium.
All in all, she did great & thoroughly enjoyed her first game!
AND, Iowa beat Arizona that day!
