We started our long weekend on Friday morning with a trip to Kennefick Park where there are two of Union Pacific's train engines on display. The black one is an old steam engine and is just huge up close.
From there we headed to Lauritzen Gardens to check out their Kidstructures exhibit - around 10 playhouses for kids to play in, on & around. Some were pretty cool, but most looked like they would have been more fun when the exhibit was brand new back in May. We finished the morning with a picnic by the river. It was fun to have an outing with the girls and NOT feel like it was crammed into an already busy weekend!
